Our founder, Angela Fairhurst, experienced this firsthand while caring for her mother with dementia. She realized that challenging behaviors were often silent messages—signals of unmet needs such as agitation, anxiety, or the need for regulated sensory input.​
Determined to help, Angela created Geri-Gadgets®: safe, washable sensory tools that support calm, reduce restlessness, and encourage therapeutic engagement.
Today, Geri-Gadgets® are used worldwide in dementia care, disability centers, neurodivergent education, therapy, rehabilitation, and schools.

Geri-Gadgets® Inc. began as a personal mission to find meaningful engagement for the founder's own mother, who was struggling with dementia. Today, we create sensory tools that foster calm, independence, and connection for aging adults, individuals with dementia, and neurodivergent communities. Our goal is simple: make engaging, failure-free experiences accessible to all through thoughtful, inclusive design.

Angela Fairhurst is the Founder and CEO of Geri-Gadgets®, a company dedicated to improving the lives of people living with dementia, cognitive challenges, and neurodivergence—as well as the caregivers who support them. Inspired by her mother’s journey with Lewy Body Dementia, Angela combined her background in television production and product development to create patented, safe sensory tools that are washable, non-toxic, and designed for meaningful engagement across generations. Through Geri-Gadgets®, she is redefining what care looks like—bringing dignity, joy, and connection to those too often overlooked.
