Open the Doors with Angela Fairhurst

We had the absolute pleasure of interviewing the passionate and creative entrepreneur, Angela Fairhurst. Angela talks to the OTD founders about the story of her mother which led to her creation of Geri Gadgets; multi-use sensory tools for people living with dementia.

Here’s a bit about Angela:

My current venture is as the CEO and founder of Geri-Gadgets, a company that creates therapeutic, sensory, and stimulating products for seniors and seniors with dementia. These patented products are designed to enhance the well-being and quality of life for this population, by providing safe and engaging activities that stimulate cognitive and sensory functions, boost dexterity, and offer a sense of accomplishment. I am driven by the mission of improving the lives of seniors and their caregivers, and by the challenge of transforming dementia care finding innovative and effective solutions for their needs.

My career has been in Non-Fiction television, specializing in Music/Variety and Live TV as a Producer and as an Executive in Charge of Production. Recent series include the music game show for CBS television SUPERFAN, and the docu-follow LA FIRE & RESCUE for NBC where I oversaw all aspects of the budget, hiring and scheduling. As a content producer and writer, I specialize in the luxury travel industry, producing, writing, shooting, and voicing over 145 webisodes that showcase experiential travel attracting and entertaining online audiences.
